History of New Beginnings Christian Church

A New Beginning

In 2022, The Enon Church of Christ was left without a pastor, and a small congregation. The First Church of Christ in Fairborn had been in a rented facility for the past ten years and was consistently looking for a new location to call their own. Coming out of the COVID period, both churches agreed to combine into one church during the fall of 2022. The purpose of this joining together was to ensure the continuity and improved health of a Christian Church in the Greene, Clark and Miami county areas.

The First Church of Christ voted to unify in November, while the Enon Church of Christ voted to unify in late December. The first set of combined services were held in Fairborn during January 2023 while updates to the Enon church were made, to include a brand new AV booth, television projector screen installation, updated bathrooms, and electrical/AV wiring. The first combined service at the renovated facility on Dayton-Springfield Rd. was held on Sunday, February 5th, 2023.

The name “New Beginnings Christian Church” was selected in February, by the new congregation to symbolize the "New Beginning" we all make when we become Christians. Over the first year since the joining into a new congregation, we are seeing renewed growth and enthusiasm for Christ's work in this area.
